Rene's love affair for all things house music started over 10 years ago but his career really picked up steam over the past year and suddenly Rene's sound is everywhere. With a plethora of remixes and his own productions getting numerous plays and accolades from fellow DJs, producers and radio jocks alike - Rene's production skill and signature sound is in hot demand.
Strike Me Down - the hotly tipped ditty was quickly signed to La Factoria/Joia and soon fulfilled its promise as one of the most compiled records of the past 6 months. Shortly after 'Snap' was delivered to Rising Music - which soon after was tipped through various DJ and sales charts. Currently it is Rene's EP on Hot Kitchen Plop/I Hate Green that is getting all the attention.
Somewhere in between all this Rene found the time to deliver more fantastic remixes for Mark Knight - Party Animals (Toolroom) and Hook n Sling - The Bump (CR2) and a yet to be released single for Roger Sanchez - Again (Stealth). His remix for Laidback Luke - Housetrap (Size) is set to kick up a storm.
There is also a rumour that Rene's bootleg of Faithless - Insomnia became such a radio darling that various stations were kindly asked to focus on supporting the new Faithless single instead - these all being unconfirmed rumours of course!
Meanwhile Rene has been focusing on building his 25 Hertz Recording Label - last years My Favourite Barbie made everybody take note of the label and as A&R and main artist on the label he is planning some exciting releases of kindred producers over the coming year and of course many more of those typical Rene Amesz productions and remixes coming your way - they will be hard to miss.

WMC 08 South Beach Florida!
If you love the thump that rumbles deep inside the walls of clubbing's hearts and minds, then you have by now heard of the Winter Music Conference.
A getting together of all of the most revered dj's and producers you have ever heard of, and hundreds you have not.
Having gone now for over 6 years, we consider ourselves seasoned conference vets, and that's a spot in the sand, to those who have been going for its entire existence, over 15 years strong now. Truly a place for music lovers, bring your wallets as it gets pricey, but how can you put a price on running into your favourite dj’s on the beach, on the street or even..at the gyros place @ 4am!!!!
In your minds eye, if you can see even a glimpse of what this conference holds in terms of atmosphere, you would not miss a beat, as it twenty times what you can imagine, but for those of you that did indeed miss it. Here are some Till the AM best & worst:
